Bianca features in UK based magazine Digital Artist

Our very own Bianca was contacted by a journalist early in February for an interview on working in collaboratives for UK based magazine 'Digital Artist'.

Bianca was lucky enough to be included within the eight page spread of Collectives and Collaborations in the current issue amongst many other great designers. Images of her Seasons girls were included plus some thoughts on working in a group such as the Sole Sisters.

Issue 5 was released on the 25th of March so should be hitting our shores soon. Stay tuned for some scans - watch this space!

Kristyn wins Photographic Art Show!

The 2010 Millicent Photographic Art Show was opened on 26 March 2010, with over 275 entries from all across the country. Melbourne photographer Anthony McKee opened the night and was one of the judges.

Kristyn took out the Grand Prize Mayoral Award with her portrait of her daughter, Ava. She was awarded $1500 for her efforts!

Kristyn is hoping to continue working on her portrait series throughout the year.

Our plans in 2010

The Sole Sisters Collective's next exhibition is planned for 5th - 30th November 2010, to be held at The Little Goat Gallery in Mount Gambier. The Sole Sisters are pleased to announce the inclusion of two local artists in this year's exhibition, artist Susie Clarke who owns The Little Goat Gallery and designer Ben Hood from Hello Friday.

The beautiful surrounds of the Limestone Coast that we reside in provides the theme for the exhibition 'Of Beauty Rich and Rare'. The theme will entwine with the collaborative artworks which will explore the five c's of the Limestone Coast. Caves, Craters, Coast, Coorong and Coonawarra.

The Sole Sisters will also be exhibiting work at Molten Cafe in September as part of the First Fridays series run by the Riddoch Art Gallery. Be sure to pop in on the opening night to view a preview of the exhibition.
